Button Roundabout Receives Durable Markings
Stirling Lloyd’s retroreflective road marking product, Safetrack LM Retromax, has been used to increase the life of a mini roundabout in Derbyshire, which previously required regular routine maintenance.
The button roundabout on the main street, Union Road, in New Mills is subjected to high levels of wear from vehicles, including buses and lorries, passing through the Derbyshire town. Consequently a more durable solution to reduce the frequency of reapplication was required.
During the night application Safetrack LM Retromax was applied to the mini roundabout, arrows and approach markings by contractor WJ Roadmarkings.
The outcome: the ease and success of the application and durability of the product impressed and Safetrack LM is set to be used on more roundabouts in the county.
