Safetrack gets thumbs up in Shropshire
24th Jan 2009
The busy B5070 near its junction with the A5 in Shrewsbury which was suffering extensively from badly fretted joints has been brought back up to standard by Shropshire County Councils contractor, Enterprise PLC in works overseen by Stirling Lloyd Polychem’s expert Technical Advice team.3,000 lm of Safetrack Crack Infill, a system specifically created for treating large fretted joints, was used for the infilling of the large scale cracks which measured over 5mm in size. Not only did the system provide excellent bond strengths but also the curing properties offered by Safetrack Crack Infill ensured that the work was completed in the minimum amount of time. Despite a slightly damp surface due to a spell of rain the previous night the application was straightforward; even with no previous experience of Safetrack Crack Infill the lads from Enterprise easily mastered its application and were more than satisfied with the product.
To complete the job the fully compatible Safetrack LM Retromax was used to reinstate the faded white lines and to provide new lines across the repaired surface.
The outcome: With the products ease of use and cost-effectiveness Enterprise PLC are set to use the range of Safetrack products throughout the country and Stirling Lloyd Polychem has become an approved supplier to Shropshire County Council.
