Safetrack Goes Round The Bend In Derbyshire

2nd Oct 2009

Safetrack LM’s has recently been applied to two difficult bends in Derbyshire, reducing the long term costs of maintaining the road’s markings.

In Chapel-en-le-Frith, Derbyshire WJ Roadmarkings applied Safetrack LM Retromax on two tight bends along the A623. The corners at ‘Sparrow Pit’ and ‘Lane End Farm’ were proving to be problematic areas for other line marking products. Cars and heavy lorries using the road had necessitated the frequent re-application and maintenance of the line markings, which had to be replaced every three to six months.

Stirling Lloyd’s Safetrack LM utilised the company’s advanced methylmethacrylate (MMA) resin technology, with the wear resistance and durability provided making it ideal for use in these critical areas; dramatically prolonging the life of the road markings.

The outcome: not only will Safetrack LM’s durability extend the life of the road markings, representing a significant cost saving, but more importantly the safety of road users has also been enhanced.
