Stirling Lloyd Seals Kerbs in Scotland

11th May 2009

Stirling Lloyd’s Safetrack Crack Infill has recently been trialled for sealing the joint between the road surface and the kerb by Fife Council.

Following the raising of the kerb a solution was needed to stop the rain water that  was collecting around the gutter from penetrating into the lower layers of the road, as this would cause rapid degradation.

Where other road repair products find this area awkward and struggle to achieve adequate compaction, Stirling Lloyd’s Crack Infill, a cold liquid applied product, flowed easily into the problematic area.

The simple, fast and effective repair to the defective asphalt edge also meant that minimal traffic management, labour and plant were required during the repair.

The outcome: Fife Council were impressed with the repair and are currently monitoring the trial site over the coming weeks with a view to carrying out further works.
