Edinburgh Opts For Cost Effective Reinstatement

22nd Jun 2009

In a recent application in Edinburgh Stirling Lloyd showed how cost effective the use of Highways Maintenance Patch Packs can be.

Following the repair of a gas main on Dalkieth Road, an A road in a residential area of the city, Scotia Gas needed to reinstate the anti-skid surfacing of an affected pedestrian crossing. To mobilise a thermoplastic truck would have been very costly, thus Stirling Lloyd’s Safetrack HW Patch Pack was ideal. Containing all the materials and equipment required to carry out an application, the Patch Packs are designed specifically for smaller areas.

In addition, as Safetrack HW is a cold applied product it was safe to use in close proximity to both pedestrians and residents.

The outcome: the client, Scotia Gas Edinburgh, were pleased with their first experience of Stirling Lloyd’s Patch Packs being, particularly impressed by the ease of application and speed of cure – allowing for a quick return to service.
